Beginners Levels - A1 Common European Framework

Beginners
can take you from an absolute beginner to
a
pre-intermediate
level which means that by the end of the third course you
will
be able to
survive when
exposed to native speakers in simple situations
(e.g.
restaurants, public
transport, etc.) using
a wide range of basic vocabulary
and
using
past and
future tenses as well as the present
tense. The course is
divided in three terms
of 11
weeks each,
separated by short breaks.
You can
choose
to continue through the terms
just like a school year or take a longer
break and
pick up the next term later.
The courses follow a participative approach, which builds an
entertained
atmosphere and
helps everyone to learn in a relaxing and
enjoyable way.
The
courses cover the four
language skills - listening, speaking, reading and
writing
-
with the aim that most of the
learning will be done during the lesson
- there
will
be some homework but not too much !
The course fee includes the cost of the text book which you
will follow in
outline
to provide
a structure for the course; although many of
the exercises
and helpful
hints provided in
class will be based upon the needs
of the specific
group of
students in the class which are
designed to help you
best understand
and develop
the Spanish being taught in the text book.

Beginners -
Absolute Beginners
This is a 11 week course meeting once a week, designed for absolute beginners
and false
beginners
(students
with previous knowledge or who speak another
Latin language and have
some
familiarity with Spanish). In this course you will
learn to introduce
yourselfer and others,
ask others about their origin, interests
and occupation,
give general information about yourself,
describe places and
people, talking about hobbies and check into a
hotel. Using the simple
present
tense.

Beginners -
Breakthrough
Again, a 11 week course meeting once a
week, designed as a follow on to the
Absolute Beginners
Course or for students
who have studied Spanish before.
In this course you will learn to
ask for and
give
directions, ordering food in
a restaurant, expressing daily routines, and talk about your likes
and dislikes,
emotions and opinions.
The course will
teach some of the more common
irregular verbs
and introduce the Present Perfect.
The cost of the course is £171 inc. text book or £156 exc.

Survival
A 11
week course meeting once a week designed to prepare you to survive
when exposed
to native
speakers. The course will expand your vocabulary
and
teach you to express
knowledge / lack of
knowledge, probability, talk on
the
phone, refer to past events and
circumstances, relating events
of the past
and talking about future plans.
The cost of the course is £171 inc. text book or £156 exc.

two intensive 6 week courses designed for
people traveling to Spain or

basics of the Spanish
language and learn vocabulary specific to holiday
themes. The courses
are
five weeks long and compromise simple communication topics based
on
real life situations. The
course fees include lesson materials and
hand-outs.

This is a 6 week course meeting once a week in which you will learn
the
basics of
communication
with Spanish speakers such as introductions,
using
public
transport, ordering food in a restaurant,
asking for directions,
booking
a hotel
room, etc.

afternoons

Again a 6 week course but this time taking you a bit further and
expanding
upon
your vocabulary
to deal with more complex situations.
The cost of the course is £89.
